I genuinely want to know this.
For example — my neighbor, who I actually really like aside from her politics, just posted on Facebook “Daddy Trump is laying down the law and giving DC criminals a spanking 🤚 🔥🥵”. My mother in law and her friends from Church, upon trump winning the election, got shirts made that said “Daddy’s Home” on the front with a picture of trump’s face. My daughter and her sorority friends all call him Daddy Trump as well (she goes to a southern school — I don’t think she’s actually conservative but I think he’s trendy for their age group in the South) Even pro golfer John Daly called him Daddy Trump, seemingly unironically, in an interview. What is the deal with this? I know a few liberals called Kamala “Momala” but that felt more isolated and didn’t really catch on. |
| You’ve given multiple examples of behavior of people you actually know personally. Have you asked them? If you genuinely want to know, you seem to have multiple people in your life who could address your curiosity. |
| Momala is what Harris’ stepchildren called her. The whole daddy thing with Trump is weird cult thing. MAGA is a cult. |
|
Because it's funny.
It's not that deep. |
Is the NATO Secretary General in the cult? He publicly called Trump "Daddy." |
Ewwww. Trumpers are creepy with their idolatry of the felon. |
|
Some of them think it’s funny some of them believe it. None of them want to acknowledge how gross and dangerous it is and never will.
|
|
It’s sexual innuendo. Which is just weird, because we know Trump is a pedophile who touched kids with Epstein.
So yeah, all these white people calling Trump “Daddy” are f#cked in the head. |
| Because MAGAs are submissive and have daddy issues. |
|
It means Trump is the adult in the room. He is the man (finally) taking charge and doing the right thing.
It is also a form of Psy-Ops because the majority of Democrats come from single-mother households. |
|
The 2 hard core MAGAs that I know grew up in families of divorce and had very strong mother - head of household - figures in their lives. Having known them most of my life I think they think Trump, for some strange reason, represents the “idyllic” 1950s childhood they never had, but obviously, never will. And this seems strange to me that they see an old, mysogenistic, crass white guy as their role model instead of their strong mothers who in the end supported their families. So maybe it does have something to do with daddy issues. |
| Maybe there is a spanking video somewhere out there Trump has suppressed like the Epstein files. |
| They all have daddy issues. That’s why they like him to begin with. He acts like the abusive tyrant whose love and approval they wanted and couldn’t get growing up. |
It’s not funny. It’s creepy. You MAGA men can’t figure out why women don’t like you? It’s because you’re mean, you don’t read, you don’t think, you’re not funny, and you’re immature. |
