Would it make sense to plant a mix of grasses?

For the lawn, would it make sense to plant a mixture of zoysia, fescue, kentucky bluegrass, in the hope that it will be stronger longer than a monoculture?

I mean, what are you going for? Are you a lawn dude, beating back entropy? Or just a person who doesn’t want to think about grass any more than necessary to keep the HOA at bay?

I don't even know what are lawn is but it looks great. Very green. Mix of not-sure-what grasses, and I'm sure, weeds. No watering or fertilizing needed. Whatever grows, grows. The trick to having it look it's best is cutting it to the right height and for us it's the opposite of what others do. It looks best cut very short in the spring and looks best left higher at this time of the summer.

Zoysia won’t play well with other grasses.

OP. I man in a perfect world I'd have all fescue or kentucky bluegrass but the latter can't tolerate hot temps well and ends up patchy. I just want a good barrier to the very abundant weeds.
