What do people who don't cook eat?

If you don't cook, what do you eat? Do you have kids?

Water.

Take out.
Or they heat up frozen stuff or use instant stuff for the kids but don't eat themselves.

What’s your definition of not cooking? I don’t enjoy cooking at all and do the bare minimum to provide somewhat nutritious meals.
Today for lunch ( I’m at home) I had bagged salad with bare chicken bites that I heated for 8 mins in the air fryer.

You’d be surprised how some people can pull off healthy meals without cooking. Even people who don’t cook can make a nice salad or put marinated chicken from the grocery store on the grill or in the oven. I can cook but I don’t enjoy it so I rely on easy meals/shortcuts 4-5 nights a week. My kids are older now but when they were younger I pushed myself to make from scratch meals but looking back I wonder why I put that pressure on myself. There are so many simple ideas that are healthy or reasonably healthy that don’t require special skills. Bean tacos, salads, sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, chipotle like bowls made with prepared chicken and lots of veggies, burgers on the grill, etc.

I don’t cook although I do boil things (like water for pasta) and toast things (like freezer waffles, black bean burgers). I have two kids and they so far prefer raw fruit/veggies, plain pasta, warmed up black beans, smoothies, etc.

I don't cook. I'm now married with kids and my husband cooks.

In my single 20s, I went out to dinner probably twice a week. Besides that, I ate:

Kraft Mac & cheese
chicken nuggets
plain pasta with melted cheese on top
cereal
Pasta-roni
Chicken quesadillas - made with cut up chicken nuggets in the microwave. I still make this for my kids for lunch sometimes, ha.
Lots of frozen stuff - Dumplings, hot pockets, chicken wings, frozen waffles, frozen pizza, there was this frozen shrimp scampi I used to like where you just put it in a frying pan for like 3 minutes and then dump on pasta and it was actually really good. I'd cycle through whatever looked easy and good in the frozen food aisle.

If I was feeling really ambitious, I'd make shake 'n bake chicken. You could also buy these pre seasoned, fresh white fish filets that came with specific instructions (put on a cookie sheet in the oven at this many degrees for this many minutes). That was as fancy as I got.

It was a lot of pasta/carbs, so I always made sure I had lots of protein when I was out to eat, and I watched my portions. I also ate a daily green smoothie with lots of spinach and kale (still do) and TONS of fresh fruit and raw veggies, at every meal. In general, yes, I ate a lot of processed stuff, but I had a pretty healthy diet beyond that, watched my portions, and was at a healthy weight throughout that time.

Don't have kids. I cook very minimally. I'll toss fish or chicken in the oven to bake but that's about it for the oven. On the stove I'll make dry pasta, frozen ravioli, scrambled eggs, I think that's it.

I make a lot of frozen foods in the microwave, instant rice, instant oatmeal, pre-cut melon (don't tell me why I shouldn't), bone broth that just gets heated on the stove, yogurt. Vegetables get cut up and eaten raw. PB&J.

I don't have kids. I use Vegetable and Butcher for dinners. I actually like to cook, but by the time I get home from the gym and work, it's just not feasible.

Cereals, frozen pizza and takeouts!

A local chef/caterer prepares 3-5 dinners for me to reheat weekly. I pick them up on Monday afternoons on my way home.

I don't cook because (1) DH and our kids are not adventurous eaters and cooking to their tastes got old for me, fast, (2) we both work and cooking plus clean up doesn't work, and (3) many nights we eat at different times due to conflicts with kids' activities and work. The prepared meals are easy enough for me, DH, our teen or our nanny to heat up.

One of my gfs doesnt cook and basically lives off frozen pizza/lasanga/etc.

What my husband cooks, which isn't what I would cook, but if it gets me out of cooking, that's OK. I do the washing-up.

I cooked for more than 15 years, made lunch boxes for the kids, etc, and one day, I was done. SO DONE. I think I will get back to cooking one day, but not in the near future.

I still like to make the Christmas meal, because it's Beef Wellington and I have my own excellent recipe for that.

I cooked for the family for 20+ years; now I've largely given it up, but in the winter I do make large pots of soup and in the summer I assemble simple salads. Other than that we eat a ton of fruit, raw vegetables, cheese, hummus, yogurt, eggs, store-bought grilled chicken and shrimp, smoked salmon; and we go out to a good restaurant every few weeks.
