Any idea for adventure / active travel type trips for next summer? We loved Iceland this summer.
2 adults and 1 teen who will be 16 at time of trip. Everyone is in decent shape. Thanks for any ideas! |
| Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. |
| Belize, especially the ATM cave, cave tubing, and snorkeling/diving. |
|
Colorado.
Rafting, climbing, hiking, biking, kayaking & more. Did it this summer. Great trip. |
| What’s Belize like in June? |
| Hiking in the Bernese Oberland |

Southwestern CO--hiking, off roading with Jeep rental, visit Mesa Verde, Million Dollar Highway with stops for hiking/views, Canyoneering, Box Canyon Falls, Via Ferrata, Black Canyon of the Gunnison --we did this trip flying into Durango and out of Montrose. Teens would love to go back and spend a whole week in Ouray (we split between Durango and Ouray)
We have also based in Bernese Oberland and done all the things in Murren/Wengen/Grindelwad, etc, mostly hiking but also paragliding, Via Ferrata again, ebiking. Another favorite is the Rafiki Safari Superlekker in Costa Rica. Such a great place with great owners. https://rafikisafari.com/wp/superlekker/ |
| Guatemala- climb Acatenango volcano, lake activities at Atitlan.. lots to do |
| costa rica, alaska or hawaii |
| Hiking in the Dolomites or near Mount Blanc. We also loved Costa Rica (in particular the Osa Peninsula) and the Big Island of Hawaii. Our teen is also 16, FWIW. |
| Azores! |
| Another vote for southwest CO. We did a hi high ropes course, whitewater rafting on the Animas River, Mesa Verde. Lots of hiking options around. We flew into Albuquerque and drove from there, stopping in Santa Fe for a day. |
