Going out to dinner with DH

And door dashed the kids chipotle to eat while we are out. I feel lazy but you only live once.

And this warrants a thread because?

Live a little! You’re paying into your relationship. No need to feel guilty.

Lighten up.

OP this is such a non-issue.

Sure. When kids are little they get a sitter and pizz or whatever when parents go out. We have grandparents who watch kids at their house and feed them. But that's rare and when they can't, we do the above scenario. The teens getting other takeout is just evolution of that.

I hope you have a good fainting couch OP.

We make our teenager drive us and pick us up for date nights so we can drink.

That has potential for hilarity. Might find "My drunk parents out partying!" on a TikTok trending video.

You seem mean!

You feel lazy because of this? Much respect to you, OP. I will nominate you for Mother of the Year. I make shortcuts regularly for my time with hubby, my time with friends, or my time alone. And I don't feel one ounce of guilt or laziness about it.
