Some us men have become hopelessly desperate. I just read about this new Onlyfans model who made a whopping $1M+ within 24 hours of joining the platform.

This is very disturbing. Why are men spending this absurd amount of money on someone they will never meet in person. They are spending money on her just because she is "beautiful". This is crazy because a lot of women are single and looking and these are the losers that they may sadly end up with.

Does anyone know why have men become this desperate?

The people behind onlyfans are men. This is nothing new. Powerful men exploiting everyone else wow breaking news lol. We don't hear about the mental health of these onlyfans models..we don't know their suicide rate..we are fixated on the money they are making. I've said on here many times that maybe 20% of modern men are equipped to be husbands and fathers.

Simply put, when men were able to structure society for their sole benefit, oppress women, and keep them legally and practically dependent on men, men didn't have to put forth much effort on the home front, emotionally or otherwise. The societal landscape and structure has changed and men have not adapted. Many of them find it easier to pay someone to pretend to care about them rather than put in the work at home and in their relationships.

And despite the above - I'm rooting for men.

I'm good friends with an OF model and learned a lot about the industry thru her.

First, very few women make good money. Average is something like $200 dollars. The woman you referenced - Lil Tay - is a rapper with over 6 million followers on social media already, and she did a TON of marketing around how she was turning 18 and would drop explicit content on OF.

Also, it's really not men paying for just pictures and videos. My friend makes most of her money in 2 ways:

1. Chatting/messaging
2. Custom videos (people pay thousands for these).

The chatting is with men who are lonely. Some are single, some are married. I actually don't see the problem here. American culture is set up to isolate people, so no wonder men turn to women online. She also often helps get them out of depressive states, getting to talk to another human being who encourages them and supports them helps.

Custom videos are usually very strange kinks nobody would ever ask a partner because it's embarrassing. Things like role playing alien abductions. I think it's fine to have an outlet for these, it's horrible to ask someone to fulfill a fantasy and get laughed at or dumped.

OF women are not victims. They are equal opportunity offenders along with the men who created that site and the men who pay for it. They are all creatures of the same swamp. Nobody is being forced to do anything.
