Can any current families please share what the playground/outdoor space is like at this school?

There's a decent playground at the front of the school for younger grades, but older kids pretty much get the parking lot/blacktop for recess. It's not great, but my kids don't seem to mind, and they get plenty of outside time.

For PE and indoor activities the gym is good, and the Parish owns a turf field next door for outdoor PE and CYO practices.

I don't remember exactly, but I seem to recall there being some limitations with usage my due to agreements with neighbors.

The school tore down a house where the turf field is located. It upset the community and imagine this was part of some agreement as part of that ordeal.

This is not true. There is recess on the turf field. Starting in third or fourth grade, the kids have recess half the week on the blacktop and half on the field. There are supposedly no whistles allowed on the field so that might be what you’re thinking of.
