HS Schedules?

Does anyone know when those are posted? And before anyone says "what's the rush, hold your horses"- DS is out of the country taking care of a sick relative and won't be back until Sunday the 17th.

Sometime next week, keep checking and keep checking schoology some teacher might post something on schoology before the schedules are out.

Thank you. I am thinking about messaging the counselor next week, do you think that'll be too much? He literally lands at 8 PM on a Sunday night.

Have your kid chdck Schoology the morning of Open House next week. The schedules will be posted online by that morning.

The counselors will not give you his schedule early. They are busy fixing schedule conflicts and enrolling new students

He can get his schedule by looming online that morning like everyone else. He will know that the schedules are live when his social media alerts start buzzing continuously because all the kids start messaging and posting online all at once.

Too much.

What day is your school open house?

Usually, their social media will blow up when the schedules are viewable online, either late in the evening before open house or the morning of open house.

He will just need to log into Schoology or SIS and he will be good to go.

Open House is on the 14th and here's a caveat: he cannot access any FCPS stuff while he is abroad, it's blocked

He can check when he lands. Maybe you should have booked his flight back earlier than the day before the first day?

Maybe his father should not be in a hospice. How dare I book the only available flight back and wanting DS to spend as much time as possible with his dying father? Shame on me.

Feel better now on your high horse?

You will be able to see it too.

Just login to your own SIS or schoology. It will be there by Open House.

Or he can use a VPN. Most kids are well versed in this.

You can also go in person to Open House and stand in line to pick up his schedule.

There are lots of options for you to get his schedule by Open House that don't involve bothering the very busy counselors.

The next few weeks are the counselor equivalent of April for tax accountants. The counselors are swamped right now. Don't add to their workload when you have at least 3 very simple solutions to get his schedule in a timely manner on your own.

To be fair, your original post stated he was just caring for a sick relative. A dying father is a completely different ballgame. I am very sorry to hear this.

Given the situation, you probably email the counselor and see if they can let you know or if she/he needs you to check with the principal.

Also, sometimes schedules are accidentally released other places. I can't recall if it was schoology or SIS where we often found the info posted before it was posted at the official place.
