Infertility Support and Discussion
| I was wondering if anyone felt like AF was coming but then ended up pregnant. Could the very minor cramps be a sign of pregnancy or is that just wishful thinking on my part? Based on a cyst, we sat out any treatments this month and tried naturally. After meeting with our doctor and having a second opinion, we decided that we would do IVF if I was not pregnant. It is getting close to AF time and I am a nervous wreck. I am just plain scared of having the IVF and I think I need a little comfort from others that went through it. Thanks so much. |

Just saw your post and thought I could give you some hope. Ths past weekend I had cramps too (minor ones not severe) and thought my period was coming. My period was due today. I decided to go ahead and test on Monday more as confirmation that I was not pregnant and I was shocked to see a positive test and then another and then another. We just could not believe just the one.
I read up on the cramps and apparently they are very very common when you are newly pregnant. Good Luck!! |

I had a similar situation-- felt like period was coming, I was crushed, and I was also pregnant. The problem is that your period and pregnancy really have similar symptoms AND the drugs put an extra variable into the mix so it's just so hard to tell. *I* felt like the fact that I had symptoms others mentioned as AF but were never AF for me was a good sign, but who knows.
Good luck. |
| OP here. Thank you so much to both PP. I am going to keep my fingers crossed. I am supposed to get my period this weekend but if I don't, I am going to do a test just in case. I thank you both for you kind and supportive words. |
| I usually can tell 100% if my period will start - it is a specific sensation I have in my uterus. The only time I didn't have that feeling although I had some menstrual cramps was the time I got pregnant. I also did not have my usual spotting the month I got pregnant. Hope this helps and good luck! |
