Can someone explain to me why teams are not more transparent with their pricing? I cannot tell what the costs are associated with FISH and its various groups and we are looking at them as a potential club. |
1) They don’t have to be. There are more swimmers who want to join clubs in the area than spots, so they aren’t worried about being transparent up front in the hopes of getting your business.
2) people who coach sports aren’t necessarily good at the administrative side of things. This is true of not just swimming but every other competitive youth sport we’ve been involved in. The ones that are upfront about fees, have tidy payment systems, and communicate well are not the norm. |
It's on their website ![]() https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/pvtf/page/about-us/programs-and-dues |
This. We are members and have found them very clear and transparent about fees. |
Shouldn't be an issue asking the team administrator what their annual fees are. I would also expect them to be upfront about such a large purchase. This isn't medical billing ![]() |
3K plus. What program R you looking at |
We swim with Fish. We have found everything (including fish shirt, team suit and swim cap) to be included. The things that are not included are meet registration fees (the per event fee) and a fee if you don't volunteer at a fish hosted meet. Re: the meet registration fees - I have read that some programs include that, but then limit the number of events you can swim per month. I like this approach because if we are traveling for a meet, etc, you only pay for what you use. |
I don't know any of the local clubs that pay meet fees. Most did prior to covid and stopped doing so after covid. |
