Hoping folks here have answers to this.
My teen daughter wants to go to JLL with friends for her first concert. Is it necessary for an adult to go with them? I checked their site, but don’t see anything suggesting that kids need to be accompanied by an adult. Are there facilities to drop off and pick up? One of the girls needs to leave by 10:00 PM or so. What would be a safe/easy way to do this, if there is not a designated pickup area? |
| No idea. Maybe don't go. |
| I thought you were talking about an oil change. |
|
How old?
If she will be with female friends, she should be fine. It is quite a ways out down I66. |

I went to concerts at JLL without parents starting at 16/17.
On the website: DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP Let parking staff know you’re dropping off and they’ll show you the way. When picking up, arrive 45 minutes before the end of the show—you won’t be able to enter otherwise as traffic is set to flow outwards once the show ends. |
| I would also go over the map with your DD and find a general area you can meet when it’s time to leave. Definitely plan to get out of there before the concert ends, or you’ll be stuck for an extra hour. |
| Teen like a 14 year old, or teen like a 17 year old? |

Thank you all!
She’s 16. I have looked at the map and identified a couple of nearby businesses where we can park and walk down and meet them, in case there are issues with picking up inside JLL. Hopefully the businesses don’t care that we’re parking there after hours. |
Because I’m sure no one has ever illegally parked there before hahaha. Traffic is a mess after shows. |
| She’ll be fine. Just tell them to stick together. It’s a great way to let her spread her wings a bit. No one will mind you hanging out in the lot. I hope she has a great time! |
| I would go and sit close by but not with them. |
| Has traffic gotten any better since I went two years ago? It was an absolute mess getting in and out of that place. |
| My daughter started going alone this year (age 17 with friends who are 18 so they can drive past midnight). 10 feels like a very early pick up time. But at 16 if she’s going with friends and an adult if picking up, i wouldn’t be concerned. |
According to Reddit, no. It doesn't seem like they have made any improvements to anything (such as paving or hiring non-teens to direct traffic) in the 30 years they've been around. |
| ^yes remember the traffic was backed up forever, trying to get in. Don’t think it should be a problem leaving early. |
