| Is it common for law firms to ghost job candidates after a third interview? I would have expected more professionalism than that. |
Yes, welcome to the "new" normal. |
| Did you interview with differw t people each time? How long has it been? How do you know you've been ghosted and they aren't still considering you? |
| The interview process is rarely linear, but you probably aren't a top candidate. |
That’s my guess, sadly. They were so quick about scheduling all the interviews and then crickets. |
| I was ghosted after six and seven interviews. I’m still in slight disbelief |
Ugh! And I thought I had it bad. There’s no need for that many interviews. What is wrong with people?? |
| I’ve been ghosted after a verbal and written offer. Anything can happen. Unless you’re in the building on day 1, assume you don’t yet have the job. |
It is common for anyone and typically means that you are not their first or even second choice but someone who they want to string along in case their first and second choices fall through. But sometimes it is just means they are disorganized and have incompetent HR. |
| I was also ghosted after 7 interviews for one role. Out of about 10 different roles I have interviewed for over the last 5 months, only 1 didn't ghost me ( but was rejected after 6 rounds of interviews). I just suck ass |
OP here. You don’t suck ass. It’s a hard market. |
|
I was ghosted after the CEO of the company reached out to me and asked me if I was interested in a role they had yet to post (we’d previously worked together).
Turns out the entered into an agreement to be purchased by another company, but of course I didn’t find this out until after the acquits announced. I offered this to suggest that maybe it’s something beyond their control. |
| I was ghosted after accepting and all paperwork done. Waited 2 months for a start date and gave up. |
Out the firm. This is egregious |
+1. That behavior is beyond the pale. |
