iPhone weather forecasts really Suck!

Yesterday was predicted to be overcast but dry. Went hiking and we all got soaked!

Same thing today; planned a yard sale based on good weather prediction.

Now it’s pouring.

Bookmark the National Weather Service. No app should have been showing no chance for rain yesterday or today.

The weather channel app has been really bad lately.

They do. I have the weather channel app and it’s better. Not accurate every time, but still better.

I use the weather channel radar app. It’s pretty accurate.

Both days had about a 50% chance of thunderstorms in the forecast several days ahead. But I feel like the weather channel app is not too accurate pinpointing where they will be or when. Even the radar seems off.

It's like getting rid of people who work on weather predictions and fix equipment means we get worse service.

Aviator here. It’s REALLY difficult to predict summer weather. My best advice to you would be to purchase a subscription to an app where you can use future radar, and learn how to, on a basic level, understand what you’re seeing.

It's summer, OP. You should expect a 50/50 chance of storms every single day until at least Labor Day.

This is on you.

Do you know about summer in DC? Because...this is what happens.

I don't think you really understand what goes into a forecast and how the apps really work.

ie, just another a PEBCAK error.

The Apple Weather app is the worst. Doug K always warns against using it.

No. I’m from here and OP is right about the app.
