Layoffs and resignations

How would it affect DC's economy and social fabric?

Are you posting about Federal layoffs and resignations?

DC has a "social fabric"? Sure, if you say so.

It already has. See the DC CFO's revenue estimates being down a billion dollars over the next three years due to lower income and property tax collections, and agencies cutting back.

Many of my service providers (dentist, hair stylist, dog sitter) are reporting significant drops in business. Even feds who still have their jobs are cutting back in anticipation. Many more homes for sale in my neighborhood than in previous summers, and sitting for weeks.

Yet another reason why the executive branch should not be allowed to perform executive functions. It shoube up to the people to decide who gets hired and fired. If firing is ever necessary.
