| What type of bag can I use to get my daughter field hockey stick on a plane for field hockey camp and tournament? Any creative ideas to avoid having to buy something we will use less than a handful of times. |
| Amazon basics ski bag |
Sorry. I read poorly. |

Bubble wrap? I mean you'd have to buy it but it would cheaper than a ski bag.
Or borrow a ski bag? As someone who owns a ski bag, I'm not using it at this time of the year so I'd happily lend it. |
Bags are cheap. You will probably use it more than you think. My daughter flies with her stick 2-3 times a year. |
| Go to play it again sports and buy an old school lacrosse stick bag. Shouldn't cost more than $10. |
| You can afford the airfare and the hotel, but not the bag? Please. |

This won’t help if you are going alone to camp/clinics. But if your team is going together, there’s usually a family who drives (no matter how far) & is happy to transport sticks. Goalies also often take sticks for teammates.
But buy the bag. You will use it. |

| DS flew with a baseball bat once, last minute so he didn’t have a bag. Bubble wrap, covered in trash bags, and duct tape worked fine. |
| Longstreth has field hockey bags for ~$30. Put stinky turf shoes at bottom, Wrap stick in a pair of sweatpants, a golf umbrella for parent, and a practice ball. Grocery store wire tie the zippers together, and check the bag. Have never had an issue. |
This. My girls play softball but usually whoever drives takes everyone's bats. |
