Curious what swim lessons rates are at different pools? Does it depend on the pool and the coach’s qualifications? What is considered reasonable? |
We pay $35 for 30 minutes with our summer swim coach who also coaches at the college level. |
50 per hour here |
I pay $20 for 30 minutes with a college student who coaches the younger kids. |
It often depends on whether you are contributing to the costs for pool time or not. During the summer, if you are a member of the pool in question and the instructor is authorized to teach there, there may be no overhead at all. During the winter, you will usually be paying a rate that is either set by the instructor's club (which then takes a cut) or otherwise affected by the premium availability of pool time. So summer is usually much cheaper. Winter lessons can be $50-$60 (or even a bit more) for 30 minutes. |
Experienced and qualified older teen swimmers at our Vienna pool are $1 a minute. |
RMSC coaches $50 for a half hour paid through the county rec. |
My HS swimmer charges $20 for half an hour. And the head coaches at the same pool charge a lot more, 30-50 or 60 I think. |
There is a summer swim coach who also coaches at the college level?! That’s an odd combo at best… |
$125 an hour; coach is a former D1 swimmer and coaches a local PVS club. Has been worth every penny for refining technique. |
$60 for 30 minutes |
$40 per 30 min, coach train national level at club swim. |
$25-50/30 min depending on experience level. |
$45/30 minutes |
Yes. We were fortunate the last few summers. |
