Any ideas for this Friday? Obviously very last minute, but celebrating a birthday. Needs easy nearby parking as one person is currently disabled.
Looking at Il Porto, but as the person who would be picking up half the check I'd like to spend less but still have a nice meal. There will be a couple of kids and a couple of elderly people, so need to satisfy many tastes. Preferably not "fancy" because they'll have been out touristing all day in the heat. Ideas? |

| Whatever you do, do not go to the warrhouse in old town. We were recently there and had a terrible experience. We used to go there about 10 years ago for brunch and really loved it. We should have known and we were able to walk right in on a Saturday evening That it has gone downhill. In addition to seeing bugs and the restaurant, the food was terrible and I am not exaggerating. Still mad about the waste of money. |

I assume you found a place but for others who find this thread in the future - was going to recommend Ramparts for last minute group meals.
It takes reservations, has decent parking, and pretty good food/drinks. Usually had day-of availability. However, it is NOT in Old Town. Closer to ACHS / Fairlington. |

Most places in Old Town are overpriced and 10 is a big group. Josephine could probably accommodate you, but it will be expensive. Maybe Chadwick’s or Mia’s. Closer to the metro there is Joe Theisman’s, but I haven’t had their food lately. If you’re willing to go outside of Old Town, I agree with the Ramparts recommendation.
