Longfellow MS Jump Start Program?

My DS will be a new 8th grader to Longfellow, is this program just for 7th graders? I couldn't find additional info about it on their website. TIA![b]

Sorry, meant to bold the "new to FCPS students" part since it shows it's open to 8th graders who'd be new to FCPS/Longfellow.

Yes, I think 8th graders can (and probably should!) attend. They walk through their day, practice locker combos, etc etc. I think it's a good familiarization, especially if you have a rising 8th grader. Both of my kids have gone through it and I think it sparks a *little* excitement. The office is very helpful if you have questions and other concerns.

Our 7th graders enjoyed it. It familiarizes them with the entire building. They have scavenger hunts to practice locker combos. It is all fun and informative, nothing academic, and no pressure. They even meet a few teachers and principals ahead of time. It’s only half days. Highly recommend.
