Our sweet, otherwise healthy dog has developed KCS that has not responded to extensive trials of eye drops, ointments and oral medications.
We are trying increased doses of medications to try and stimulate some tear production. If that is not successful, we are being advised to consider surgery to use her parotid glands to lubricate her eyes (transposition surgery). Does anyone have experience—hopefully success with going this route? Thanks in advance. |
| Make sure it is a boarded ophthalmologist doing the procedure. |
OP here—yes under the care of a reputable, boarded ophthalmologist. Appreciate this recommendation. Has anyone had experience with the procedure? Thanks |
