I recently went to a high end decorator shop for drapes for a bedroom. Paid a fortune but am happy. She also suggested a lumbar pillow which was another $800.
It seems way too big and long. The wish we had a discussion because a smaller size seems better. Like a queen size for king bed. Is there a rule of thumb? It just seems too much. Thanks |
| I think it depends on whether you’re trying to dress the bed to look at or to sleep in or both, and then it’s just logistics and preferences. |
| I would say the lumbar should be anywhere between 30-36 inches long. Simulate the size with a rolled up beach towel to find the size you like. |
| That price is ridiculous. |

There are a bunch of pillow design websites (like— 3 euro + a lumbar X inches long, or 3 euro + 2 2Oin pillows, etc).
I find ultra long lumbar pillows kind of unwieldy/weird, I prefer two smaller ones in front of euros (or in front of other throw pillows depending on how many decorative pillows you have) |
| Thanks. I do think a king size lumbar for a king size bed looks weird and unwieldy. I may ask them to redo and make smaller. But there will be a charge I am sure. |
