Where to start tennis for a athletic 9y old

We are in McLean, and DD just turned 9, and is very athletic (great speed, endurance, balance, and agility, average or above average in power and strength ) and loves sports, she’s now with top travel team in soccer and lax. Still, she wants to try tennis especially now in summer, since she has a lot of free time. Which academy should we start for a beginner but athletic kid, who is thinking about the future path (college, pro)? We are looking at positive experience, correct form, and appropriate challenges. Thanks a lot!

Dial this back you silly nit whit your kid is nine.

My kid did start playing til middle school late middle school and surpassed anything you wrote here.

A nine year old send them to some local indoor facility and let them even see if they like it.

You must be a troll

Take a chill pill, OP. We started our kid in tennis lessons at our pool and then he did summer league (still through our pool) and then we added on some private lessons (still through our pool) and then he ended up making his high school tennis team. He's now in college and plays club tennis for fun.

Just go outside to some courts and hit around to start. See if she likes it first instead of blindly chasing the next niche sport you can think of in the hopes that she'll be more competitive at it than the last sport you tried.

I have a friend like this. Whatever seasonal sport is on tv or being talked about is suddenly the sport their child is going to be a star at. I think they've tried swim, tennis, water polo, lacrosse, soccer, softball, all in very intense serious ways- like travel and multiple practices per week from day 1. The kid is 11.
