I was always a 32-day cycle kind of person.
Now, my periods are arriving on day 27 or so! |
Same. And mine only last 3 days now while before it was 5-6. |
Yes. Jesus, these questions remind me how little we are taught about women’s biology and hormones in school. |
You’re taught about risks of sex in school, not menopause and certainly NOT perimenopause. |
Once a week here. |
Yes, any kind of irregularity is normal in peri. I just went 150 days without a period! |
And really, even if that was part of sex ed, do you think most people would remember that, 35 years later? |
There's so much variation in all women for timing and flow. I've always had irregular 21-26 day cycles and in peri they were at the 21 day end and so heavy I couldn't leave the house sometimes. I got an ablation and don't get periods anymore. It's been life changing. |
I’ve been at 25-26 days since around 41.
Now, at 46, in just this year I’ve had as long as 38 days and as short as 19. It blows. |
How was the procedure and the recovery time? Any side effects? |
Always had 26-28 day cycles and now it’s 24. I’m 49 fwiw. Just had 30 days between cycles as a one off but it’s heavier than usual too. |
Mine are now 12 days apart so count yourself lucky… |
I’m 52. Mine were always 5 weeks apart approx. Then about 3years ago they switched to being 3.5 weeks apart.
Now this last 8 months it’s all over the place, 3 months apart then back to 3.5 weeks right now. |
100% normal.
Then they typically start to spread out in my experience - I've heard the same from other.s |
Same! I had 28 day period cycles pretty much my whole life, then last year, they were coming every 21 days, but sometimes they would stretch to more than 2 months apart. This year, I only had 1 period so far and I'm 49. |
