Capitol Hill sports leagues/activities for kids?

Anonymous
We are moving to Capitol Hill at the beginning of September and I’m hoping to get DS-1 and DS-2 (ages 4 and 5) signed up for some activities this fall and spring. They participated in easy going t-ball and soccer leagues in our current town and had fun as well at a gymnastics-type class and swim lessons.

I’m hoping to find all this (and learn about whatever else is out there!) so that I can hopefully get him signed up for some activities before we arrive.

All recommendations welcome! Thank you.

For t-ball / baseball, there is capitol hill little league.

You can do soccer through Kicks are for Kids, DC Way or Soccer on the Hill.

For swim lessons, you normally have to go to Alexandria, Arlington or Turkey Thicket.

Tennis lessons at WTEF. The East campus location is about a ten minute drive. You can also to JTCC if you are willing to drive a little farther.

For arts/music, check out Capitol Hill Arts Workshop.

Also, you can do gymnastics at Little Gym.

Finally, if you are willing to drive, you can do all sorts of stuff at the St. James sports complex, but it is out in the suburbs.

Touch rugby with Washington Youth Rugby over at RFK. Great program, and it's like someone mixed tag with soccer.
