How much do you pay them?
I feel like mine just keeps arbitrarily raising his rates. |
| Because he knows you got money. |
| Our (complicated) taxes run about $3000. |
You’re soooo important |
| Haven’t gone with them but had a small local firm quote me $7500 (filing + general strategy… I guess?) (!!) |
|
They raise their rates every year just like you (hopefully) get a raise every year.
Our taxes are relatively simple, and the cost is about $1500 per year. We pay taxes quarterly, itemize deductions, and call for advice if things change (we need money for a big expenditure, a new job big raise, or job loss, etc). |
| I think it depends on the complexity of your situation. We paid $700 last year and I thought she charged us too little. We have a w2 and two llc’s and the w2 job has an equity portion. I felt like we were on the phone with her a lot for how little we had to pay her. |
| $600. I stopped using them and do it myself. |
| This year we paid $450. |

$200 for my sister for doing my taxes. I will take over at some point, bus she wants to do it for now and has for years.
I have simplified my life and my finances so much that there's no need for most professional help. I even have free cooks/food and babysitters daily. I think I ended up in some kind of bartering situation after years of doing favors to others. Acquaintances, colleagues, relatives, and friends go out of their way to help me if I need something. My ex employer has a good accountant I can use. I do rush to work to help if needed and I do it for free as much as I can. I don't work for money anymore. Bartering is a big in UMC circles or maybe just my circle. |
| $750 I think |
| $800 to $1200 a year plus an hourly fee if I need a sit down in between. |
| $350 |
DP. What’s the point of this response? The PP was just answering the question. |
| Yes, we have personal and S-Corp taxes with multi-state filings for both due to employing remote workers in more than 5 states. I think we paid around $15k combined ($1.3M HHI). Big firms are outsourcing a lot to India. Sucks but I can't do it myself. |
