| How soon would you announce a new job on SM? |
| Why do you have to announce it? |
| No one cares. Anybody that should know, you would most likely reach out to directly. You aren't obligated to post anything on SM. |
| First day of the new job update your LinkedIn. But don’t announce on any other social media. |

| Never. I don’t put personal information like that on social media. |

Attention and validation....duh. She needs to get all those likes and comments from people she hasn't spoken to in years so they can see how amazing her life is! |

As an observer, I find that truly important people take a long time to get around to making an announcement.
People who change jobs internally at my F500 do it pretty fast. Other people who left to pursue outside employment are a mixed bag. I usually get news from other people before the LinkedIn changes. |

Do you mean LinkedIn?
I'm not gonna announce my new position when I start on LinkedIn, just gonna change my info quietly after about a week lol. But if I was gonna announce on LinkedIn, maybe wait like 2-4 weeks after starting to make sure everything is okay. |
| If/when I get a job, I plan on deleting my LinkedIn forever. No announcement will be made. |
1-2 weeks after starting |
