Does anyone have a meal delivery service you would recommend? There are so many to choose from…Thisle, Hello Fresh, Hungryroot etc. I don’t even know where to start. I work from home and feel like I am getting in the habit of not eating too healthy so would like a few prepared meals I can use for lunch when I am in a rush. |
None of them, or at least hello fresh, isn't fast.
They pick the meal for you and provide the ingredients, but you still have to do the tedious part of chopping, etc. |
Prepared meals would not be Hello Fresh. I've seen, not eaten, Factor meals and they look better than I expected.
I'd buy some precooked/pre prepped meals at the grocery store. Cooked chicken, prepped fish, chopped up salads ... |
I’ve tried many, and Hungryroot is my favorite. They send you groceries rather than a meal in a bag with everything measured. So this week, I am having honey mustard salmon (with asparagus/onions) and also decided on a chicken pretzel sandwich. As I get a full container of honey mustard, I only purchase it once. There are also just so many recipes. On the downside, you go have to work on your cart weekly to make it work best for your family. |
All the meals the delivery services have-take 45 minutes to an hour to prepare. That being said in the past i’ve done blue apron and hello fresh and for both all the meals i’d say ended up restaurant quality and really delicious. There were a couple that we didn’t love but all we had no problem eating. We still have about a dozen or so recipes we repeat on the regular that we got from them. I will say I think the best part is recreating them as the more you make it the faster they become to make and you learn shortcuts that make it even faster. So now we do like a week or 2 every couple years to get some new ideas for our dinner rotation.
The prepared meal ones are even more expensive and we did cook unity and found most of the meals we got not that great. I haven’t tried factor but i’ve heard good things from the friends that have. |

+1 I've done them all and this is my favorite. |
