would you cook or toss?

I’d probably give it a sniff and then cook.

Cook but save receipt and complain to Wegmans

I've bought that before. Cook it in the bag, and if it smells off when you open it, then throw it out. If it smells fine, its fine.

I’d probably toss. Just not worth the risk of getting sick.

Don't risk it. Those dates are extremely precise.

It's fine. The dates are NOT extremely precise. Cook and eat happily!

I'd never eat that in the first place.

This.
Sell by or best by dates are marketing gimmicks.

Most of that stuff is good for days to weeks after the date. For canned or bottled stuff, it is still good for years and years after the printed dates.

The longer one waits though, the more the taste/color/texture might be off. But still "safe" to eat.

Yeah, I worked in the food industry. Those dates are not precise.
