Brightwood houses?

Hi there-

We are in a condo now (2/2, 1100 ft) and looking for the upgrade.

Noticed some houses in Brightwood recently. One we went to the OH for in June on Tuckerman St. We liked it but did not pull the trigger quick enough (it sold in like two days and even cancelled the second OH).

There is another one on Van Buren still listed.

And today- another house on Tuckerman.

Does anyone have any insight on this area of Brightwood (in between Georgia Ave and 16th I guess?)

The closer to 16th, the better.

We used to live there and loved it. If I were buying today I’d look north of Underwood, east of Piney Branch. Not too close to the high school. Or between Van Buren and Walter Reed closer to 16th. Avoid too close to Georgia Ave

In that area the OP is talking about- lots of single family stock in between Georgia Ave and 14th street.

It’s a nestled away area. We have a friend who lives in between 13th and 14th on *checks addresses* Tewksberry.

They love it.

I live a street over from this house and love the neighborhood. I’d say the market is turning as homes are being priced/reduced to less than the last sold price. You may find a worthy deal.
