Does anyone else have hemorrhoids? Oh my…I guess that is what my problem is – itchy, etc. Is this normal? I’m 33 weeks.

yes, it is, unfortunately.

Also wanted to add -- you should mention it to your OB. I had a friend who had hers removed before birth. For others they go away several months after the birth of the baby.

Yes and they can get worse after vaginal delivery...mine disappeared after birth...but have come back with #2. Very unpleasant. TRy to aviod constipation and 'pushing' as much as possible.

Yup, totally normal and totally suck. Drink lots of water, try to eat high fiber foods and get some tucks. The witch hazel really helps. Surprisingly this is my second pregnancy and they are not as bad as my first (just got my first bout a week ago whereas with #1 I had them for most of the pregnancy).

Try drinking "PlumSmart" once they have gone away to help prevent them for the rest of your pregnancy. It has really worked for me. Funny enough, my grandmother gave me the tip =)

Colace (stool softener) is a helpful preventative for 'roids. All that extra blood flow in the lower pelvic region (as well as the extra weight, pressure and the act of pushing a db out) often contributes to the development of 'roids either during pg or during/after delivery.

Be grateful though - some women get similar entities on their vulva
