Getting hit on

Anonymous
Had coffee w a married woman I know, we had some things to discuss about an organization we are both involved with. I recently broke up w live in gf.

She gave me big long hug, during long conversation she leaned forward touched my knee 3 times while talking. Squeezed my arm as we said goodbye.

I’m not the best at interpreting. Thoughts? I’m am not giving any signals, for sure, and don’t cross that line, but need to understand. Thx

Yes, those are definitely signals that she is interested. You can play it safe and find a reason to have coffee again and see where it goes.

You want to start an affair with a married woman you know through an organization. Yeah nothing will go wrong at all

Is this how she usually is?

Some people are more touchy than others. I have a male neighbor who is very dynamic and physical and likes to touch the elbow or shoulder (or knee, if seated), of the person they are talking to. My husband and I have known him for years, and we know he's not hitting on anyone.

OP, not sure what to tell you. Conversely, I'm a married woman who recently had coffee with a single guy to talk about an organization we're both involved with.

He gave a couple of hugs, and some arm touching, and I also don't know what to make of it.

PP is correct that some people are just touchy by nature.

Touched your knee with her hand? Probably a signal. Touched your knee because her knee or leg was near yours at the table? Not a signal.

Let it go. She's married.

Don't do it.

Then ask yourself why you would even entertain this type of situation.

I work with a married lady who touches everyone. She is always squeezing people's arms, rubbing their backs. Once she undid my ponytail and redid it!!
Is she from another culture?

Other cultures might touch more but not across genders, only within them. Boys holding hands with boys, men kissing men, sitting on each other. But these same cultures can be the extremely conservative when it comes to the opposite sex, ie purity culture, covering up body parts.

A woman will never say come f**k now. Okay some will lol, but most will use body language to send signals. She may not be looking to cheat at this time, but if she comes across a horny boy that may change.

Are you male or female?

I would definitely not be okay with a woman re-doing my boyfriend/husband's ponytail. *Maybe* if it was before something like a big presentation and she noticed he looked bad. Otherwise, WAY too flirty. Imagine if a man was touching women and re-doing women's hair at work. Not okay.
