Quick question to working moms

When you do mom related stuff like dropping off your child or attending events, do you present as if your at work ( or casual classy ) or do you dress down like a SAHM (athletic wear) might?

This is a serious question!

I just wear whatever I'm wearing that day. If I am going to the office, then I dress as though I am going to work in an office (because I am). If I am working from home I just wear whatever I am most comfortable in (e.g. shorts and a tee shirt)

Has everything to do with where im coming from or going. If I'm on my way to work I'm dressed for work. I don't change clothes purposely for anything. Although I do put minimal effort, so if I'm wfh or off for the day I still get casually dressed.

I wear dresses everyday so that’s what I wear. I don’t wear workout clothes/yoga pants in public unless I’m going to the gym or yoga.

I bike my kids in a cargo bike, so I'm often in athletic wear then shower and change for work. I ran into a fellow parent at a work-related conference and he had no clue who I was in my business suit with hair and make-up done.

I don't have time to change so I just wear whatever is going on that day. I keep a pair of sneakers in my car so I can run around with them

I've done both. I think I default to wearing professional clothes because it's just how I'm more comfortable. I dress down a bit when I do field trips or weekend events at the school, and will wear jeans or a sundress if it's hot. But I don't wear athleisure, it's just not my think. I wear workout clothes to workout and that's it.

Whatever I need to based on where I am going or coming from.

I have never thought about this. My kids are 22 and 18 so I’m finishing that period in my life. I dress for what I’ve been doing/coming from/going to. Sometimes that’s office work clothes (black dress, blazer, heels) or WFH clothes (jeans, tank, hoodie). If I took PTO then similar to WFH with sneakers.

I came from work to school, and wasn't going to change clothes on the train during rush hour, so work clothes it is!

I wear scrubs and a white coat at work. I don’t wear them in public because they’re gross.
I wear yoga pants or jeans to go to my kids school.

If I'm dropping kids off in the morning then I wear my work clothes because I go straight to work. If its something like a class event in the middle of the day that I had to take off the entire day for, then I just wear casual wear.

lol are you afraid if you wear casual clothing that people will think you don’t work?

This is the basis of OP’s question. Judgmental in and of itself. M

During the week it's work clothes (but I don't wear suits). On weekends it's whatever I'm wearing. But for things like weekend school I dress up as that's culturally appropriate and respectful/expected for us. I also don't wear athlete outside of actual going to work out etc.

This. I've shown up both ways and it all depends on what it coming immediately after drop off.
