Teen still go to pediatric dentist

Does your 16-17 yo still go to their pediatric dentist? About to make an appointment and questioning if they are too old for this.

Mine do

My college student does! Will find a new dentist after graduation in their new location.

Mine did up until age 18. Might have to find one in college location. 6 month cleaning schedule doesn't work with at home times.

Hell, mine never went to a pediatric dentist at any age.

My college aged kids still go to their pediatric dentist. They love it! We’ll get a new dentist when they settle after college graduation.

Same, my college kids also still go to their pediatric dentist. I figure when they graduate and settle somewhere, they can get new docs, including a new dentist

Does your child still go to the pediatrician too?

Mine does. The practice takes up to age 21. I love and trust our ped (CMG) and we’ve been with them for 20 years, so it’ll be hard to say goodbye.

Our pediatrician takes kids until they graduate from college; pediatric dentist takes kids until 21. My kids are very happy and know they could switch sooner if they want.

My college kids who still see their pediatric dentist see docs at the Teen and Young Adult Care Center - left their pediatrician around age 16

I remember being home from college and running into HS friends at our pediatric dentist. My oldest is only 15 but he still goes to our ped dentist. And pediatrician. We will switch when the kids request it. I have told them they can switch any time.

We moved across town when my kids were in middle school. I switched to a dentist down the street, found him to be nice and capable, and moved the kids.

But if we had stayed in the same house, I am sure we would have stayed with the pediatric dentist until they got kicked out, or at least until the kids expressed a desire to move. I don't fix what isn't broke.
