Like for a happy hour drink? Or lunch?
I have a friend who does this and it’s not my thing. Not sure if I’m just unusual. Like ‘oh let’s plan to have a happy hour drink on Tuesday, October 7th’ Fwiw she cancels 80 percent of the time |
Nope. |
No. |
Weird friend. No one makes casual plans that far in advance. |
I mean, not THAT far. But definitely a month or so out. We're all so busy so yeah, grabbing lunch needs at least a month before we can configure schedules. |
Yes, I have a friend who's really busy, and sometimes we'll plan dinner two months out. I just put it on my google calendar and forget about it until the week of. |
This. I don't think it's weird to schedule a lunch or drinks a few weeks out. Also not weird to do it spur of the moment but that doesn't work for everyone. |
Usually I'll say I want to get together, but it might take a few weeks before schedules align. I like doing things in advance, though, because then I can be sure to have child care/shuttling arranged etc. So I don't tend to cancel, and I get annoyed if the other person does. |
Yes but not October. I assume that’s an exaggeration. But I’m making casual plans for late August right now (6 weeks out-ish).
But I almost never cancel, and when I do it’s because of illness (mine or the kids). |
With some friends, yes. |
