I thought the new regime was all about rooting out waste, fraud and corruption. Looks like the new NIH COO Eric Schnabel didn’t get the memo.

Shouldn’t they be implementing processes so that people with a vested interest don’t get hired in the first place? Hiring and firing when you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar isn’t “rooting out corruption.” |

| To be fair, the wife was being onboarded as a senior analyst at this company. To call it the "wife's company" is somewhat misleading. This is just old fashioned favoritism the likes of which I am nostalgic for. My guess is they wanted to fire this guy and this was an easy excuse. |
