Anyone buy clothes at this shop on Rockville Pike? I was hoping it would be a replacement for the now-closed Ranger Surplus, but it seems only to have it own brands. Not sure of quality. |
Are you taking about 5.11 tactical? If so, they have a great selection of cargo pants. Most are geared towards law enforcement, but some pants look normal. |
Ummm this shop is like for ICE agents and similar. Hard pass. |
There’s one near me, never been in it but I thought it was for men at least 5’11” tall? What does the 5.11 mean? |
5.11 is a rock climbing grade. But it does seem random. It’s far from the hardest climbing. |
Their clothing is marketed heavily towards police. That’s where my LEO DH gets his work pants. It’s hard to believe that’s enough of a market to keep a brick and mortar store open. |
It’s been open for several years on the Pike. It must be doing well. |
In this area, I think it is possible. Where would you be able to try a tactical kilt? |
That's not really the point of a B/M, it's about having a physical presence so people buy online from them. I won't buy from stores that don't have a B/M near me so I can return it. I also don't trust a lot of online retailers. |
ok, nutjob |
LoL wut?!!!? |
It’s a shop specializing in tactical and duty-grade clothing. Higher end stuff, skews expensive. It’s quality , but it’s also priced accordingly. I think LAPG dot com has similar clothing but at better prices. It’s definitely NOT a substitute for Ranger. That place was fantastic. Great milsurp and oddball stuff at reasonable prices. I still miss that place. It was quirky but awesome. |
It has nothing to do with climbing rocks ![]() |
So, you hate federal workers, PP. Got it. GFY. |
Yep GFY^2 |
