Weekly 5 bullets email- is anyone still sending?

So confused by the guidance at our agency over this. It was always “optional” but initially encouraged. But that was months ago and many of us, including myself, gradually stopped sending, because it seemed pointless. But we just got a message from upper management to “keep sending the emails!” Should I start sending again?

Yes, DoC is still having employees send 5 bullets only to their immediate supervisor.

I auto-send the same thing to my supervisor and OPM- I don’t even look at it or keep track anymore.

We are still doing it. I’m pretty sure all of us are cutting and pasting the same 5 things. My boss has made it clear he doesn’t do anything with them but put them in a file on his computer. We do it just for CYA. All of us know it is stupid.

I thought we were one of the last to be told it was no longer necessary. Prior to that our boss had us all copy/paste the same generic 5 things.

Yes, I got reprimanded for not sending it when I was out of the office. I send the same email every week.

My agency says we have to so I usually send on Tuesdays bc I often forget on Mondays and have been sending the same five generic bullets for weeks now. Literally the dumbest thing ever.

I thought it was stopped because it was consuming too much server space.
