Sudden heartburn every night?

Why would I suddenly be experiencing heartburn every evening? I’ve never experienced heartburn before, but for the past three nights, it starts about an hour after dinner and lasts until I fall asleep.

I’m not doing/eating/drinking anything that I haven’t been for years. Nothing has changed.

old age? Happened to me. Also, I had Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) - a bacteria that is a common cause of heartburn and other digestive issues.

They found it during an endoscopy when I had a colonoscopy. I was having heartburn even after just drinking water.

I took some (expensive) meds, and it helped.

Go to the doctor. It could actually be your heart. Or an ulcer. In any case you need to be looked over.

This was an early symptom of pregnancy for me. Had it the entire pregnant, went away after. Awful.
