Wait, what's going on?

What do those places have by the way, just various pastries and breads like a trad bakery?

Do they make bake-to-order stuff also?

When the life coach leaves, tell them not to fall for it and that it's a scam.

Panera is a chain fast casual places that sells coffee and over priced sandwiches. It’s popular to work there. This couple who seems to be an immigrant Indian couple is talking to a Robert Kiasoki look alike. He’s telling them to give him 15k and he will teach them how to be millionaires if they sign up for his couching program. He’s detailing his life from 18 to 48 and how he got rich. I call bs. I can’t believe these poor people are actually sitting through this. He has them giggling. Ugh.

Coaching* sorry my spelling is atrocious when I type quickly.

Yes, after he leaves, you should just tell them it is a scam.

OR

Just write "Mr. 420" on a piece of paper and hand it to the couple on your way out. They will know what he is.

Honestly I might consider attempting eye contact an emphatic “no” head shake but it won’t work. Most people who fall for things like that are not going to be dissuaded even by a trusted love one, never mind a stranger.

Watch anatomy of a Romance scam! different scam but same idea-it really changed my perspective on scams-it’s often not so much an information gap as a temperamental liability.

They are poor unfortunate souls, per Ursula. Not impoverished. But you knew that.

In India, "420" or "Mr. 420" is slang for a con artist or swindler, stemming from a section of the Indian Penal Code dealing with cheating.

Maybe it’s like a time share pitch where they got free theater tickets if then sit through this?
