He has always been a Christian libertarian and quotes scripture many times in this video

He talk about how the world has stagnation, we went from landing on the moon and never got to 2015 Back to the Future with flying cars and nuclear everything.

He alludes to Musk Occupy Mars is really a political project, imagine a corporatist state like Total Recall from how he describes it.

The crown jewel is the discussion of the anti christ. The trait of the Antichrist he describes “hypnotic speeches for the masses” really sound like Trump. Be he says that Great Thunberg is likely the antichrist, and that Green is the new religion in Europe, which is why they have stagnated so much

Interesting how he struggled and stumbled on the question of who the antichrist is, bringing his moral frameworks into question.

He is clearly disappointed in Trump, seeing Trump's failure to be a true innovator or disruptor in any productive (at least to Thiel's sense).

Some of the commentary is spot on - "Founder of Palantir freaking out about authoritarianism" - hypocrisy noted

I couldn't listen to the whole thing, he was SO WRONG on so many issues. Very disappointing. I'd never heard him speak about his beliefs before, and I thought he'd be a lot better informed and generally a deeper thinker. Maybe the format of the interview didn't do his thoughts full justice, and maybe he's not good at explaining himself... but the real truth is that he's just an idiot who happens to have money and influence.

He is a very good writer. But he can’t translate his thoughts into words on the spot. I always thought he has a mild form of aphasia.

PP you replied to. I'm willing to believe you on that, because I also have a skill difference between oral and written presentations. However, some of his notions were just plain wrong and I would expect a very successful businessman to have a better grasp of statistics and technological facts and interpret them more wisely.
