Any recent experiences with infants at DOL KinderCare? Our 6-month-old recently started there, and the transition hasn’t been as smooth as we’d hoped.
The center generally has a good reputation, but most of the reviews, etc. are pre-COVID. I also don’t know if most of those reviews are for toddlers, rather than infants. Any recent experiences with their infant rooms are appreciated. Thank you! |

I pulled my daughter out of there last year.
Idk if all the good reviews are for toddlers? But our time in the infant pod was a nightmare. By the end, she napped 30 min total a day and ate about 1/2 what she’d eat at home at the same time, sometimes less. The infants are expected to sleep with lights on, no white noise, in the same room as 7 other infants eating, playing, & screaming with no separation. Literal torture. Kindercare’s 4:1 infant ratio is rough, esp with rly young babies (3 months or so) in the room that really require 1:1 or 2:1 attention. From what I observed, the 8:2 ratio in the pod really broke out more like 2:1 (younger babies) and 6:1 (older babies). Rly, rly rough! Do not recommend for infants, unfortunately! |
