Montgomery county employee?

For anyone who works for Montgomery county govt, anyone have insights as to telework possibility, generally number of hours/days in office, office culture? I realize this may differ by department but would appreciate any insights. Thanks!!

differs by department and it isn't as easy as it used to be. There are annual telework agreements that are updated and some change some stay the same.

what department/division?

Varies by dept. Mine has no telework policy. Others have hybrid.

Yeah it really depends on the job and what the director wants. Mine wants us in the office 3 days per week.

My experience is that office culture is collaborative among professional staff, and there is a strong culture of work life balance (one exception I know of is the County Attorney's Office). The parking garage for my building starts emptying out around 4pm. However, the closer you are to higher levels the more the politics will impact you. That has been the hardest thing for me.

Interesting comment about the County Attorney’s office. I was there 20 years ago and they cared about work life balance. Not true anymore?
