Florida beaches in Summer

Looking for a nice family friendly beach vacation with a swimmable ocean. Hoping to stay away from Sargassum. If it's easily drivable to Orlando all the better. Where do you recommend going? The West of the East Coast. Thanks

Red tide can be an issue in July and August. Research this before going, they monitor and have forecasts for how bad it's going to be.
Its sometimes possible to drive an hour north or south if it's bad where you are staying.

Is that mostly a Gulf issue? I think the ocean side is typically okay.

but the east side gets sargassum; west side doesn't. So you are screwed either way if there is red tide on the west.

I went to FL beaches once in the summer. Never ever ever again. Worst summer vacation ever.

Nothing in Florida or even South Carolina is nice in July, but that's what OP asked for.

I like Marco Island.
