Barkesdale - senior portrait sessions only offered during the summer?

My rising DCPS senior brought home a flyer from Barkesdale that urges parents to schedule portrait sessions at the school, and reminding us that participation is required for inclusion in the yearbook.

But the only dates offered are in mid-August, before school starts. Does anyone know if this is really our only chance to get senior pictures taken? It seems like some families might have unavoidable conflicts due to summer travel, etc.
