Car insurance question

Looking for recs for car insurance. Currently paying $747 for 6 months with Progressive for max coverage. 20+ year driver, never caused accident, walk to work, don’t drive much.
What insurance for you have and how much do you pay for a similar profile to mine? Is this the most affordable I can get?
I’ve already inquired with them and lowering coverage would save me crumbs.

Sounds like you are paying quite a bit for a single car/driver but maybe you have an expensive car? I think if you live in DMV suburbs and have a car that is worth $20-30k and have a 2k deductible you shouldn’t be paying more than $500/6 months. Check GEICO, you know 5 minutes can save you 15% or more

I think that is a decent rate for six months of maximum full coverage.

DL since 1996. Geico insurance since 2006. Never a claim or an accident. $30k small Japanese car with high deductible, great credit, own parking spot. I even too defensive driver's course that did nothing to my premium.
I drive only 3k a year in the city, single driver, and pay $1000 every 6 months.
Nothing I can do about the premium. They told me that I have to pay for other people's cars in DC.
Car insurance is one of those I just pay. I already wasted time switching. State Farm jacked it right up after 6 months. Should try Lemonade one day, but not sure if they are in DC.
Glad I don't work for money or I'd be pissed even more. I concentrated on making money from money, mastered it, and it's less painful this way.
