Oral Surgeon Recommendation for Wisdom Teeth Removal -- Bethesda area

Anonymous
Does anyone have recent recommendations for an oral surgeon to remove wisdom teeth? The one our orthodontist recommended does not take insurance (which I'm hoping is not the norm). Kid needs all 4 removed. They have erupted, but are coming in straight and are not impacted. We are in Bethesda, but will take recommendations in Montgomery County and NW DC.

Thank you!

Richard Williams. He’s worked on my teeth, is doing an implant for DH now and pulled both kids’ wisdom teeth. Highly recommend.

I found a lot of the recommended ones did not take insurance although some of them would help you with the paperwork if you want to submit it yourself

Dr. Abel. He's the best and probably who your dentist recommended. He also does not take insurance.

In Rockville is Affiliated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of Maryland: Drs. Poshni, Chen, Sehgal, Singh & Funari.

My 16 year old had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by I-Ling Chen, DDS on a Wednesday. Never took any pain killers and had mild swelling the next day. Took the ACT that Saturday, etc. No down time.

Every patient is recovers different but we obviously had great experience with Dr. Chen

Maryland Oral Surgery Associates. Both teens had their wisdom teeth removed by Dr Mitchell Stark and we were very pleased. Both kids had all 4 teeth impacted and the surgery and recovery was very easy. They do participate with insurance.

+1 He really is the best. Does not take insurance but mine (Guardian junk) paid all but $500.

Dr German in Howard County MD -- if you're willing to travel.

Removed both our children's wisdom teeth.

DD went to Abel. I submitted to insurance and they paid most of it. His office was helpful about getting me all the necessary paperwork. Dr Abel was great. It was quick and DD had a very easy recovery.

Agree that the best ones do not take insurance. They will help reimburse you though. Kazemi was amazing. Very upfront, healed nicely, was easily reachable if needed.

Dr William Dyzak he is worth the drive, though he used to be in Kensington.

He took out the wisdom teeth of both my kids and my DH. He is extremely good at what he does.

I saw Dr. Poshni for an extraction/implant and loved him.

I agree with this recommendation but our experience is with Dr Poshni. My oldest 2 had their wisdom teeth removed and it was all very smooth. Now my youngest is going too.
