What is your recommendation for good Bethesda mommy and me mani pedi?

Anonymous
My best friend is visiting in town and we would like to take our daughters with us to get manicures and pedicures this afternoon. Both girls are five years old. Do you have a recommendation for a kid friendly salon? We are looking for something in or near Bethesda, ideally, but can drive a little ways out if needed for something great.

I did a keyword search in this forum and didn’t find anything recent, and all of the yelp reviews looked a little dated as well. I appreciate your up-to-date recommendations!
Thanks

I haven't been to the Chevy Chase location but I love the other ones I have been to:

Taken my daughter several times and we always love it.

I've been to the Chevy Chase location many times and it is exactly what OP is looking for.

I would never take a young child to a manicure salon. Keep in mind "non-toxic" isn't actually a thing when it comes to nails. There are less-toxic formulas used nowadays. But they all still use harmful ingredients.

Why do people feel the need to chime in with this drivel? Literally nobody cares about your opinion on this matter.

Everyone is entitled to respond, and some people who were not aware "non-toxic" is a marketing lie might choose to postpone a visit to when their kid is older.

I take my daughter to the Nail Bar near the DSW in Bethesda. Lower key than Nail Saloon but another option.

I think it’s fine to take your kid to a salon for a mom and me mani pedi as an occasional treat. My 9 year old and I love Nail Saloon in Friendship Heights.

I hate the phrase “mommy and me.”

Just here to say that.

OP here. We ended up having a great experience at Potomac Nail Salon
https://www.potomacnail.com/

The women running the shop and all the nail techs were so wonderful with kids, the service was fantastic, and the prices were surprisingly good.

The ladies were exceptionally patient with our 5 year old girls and even painted tiny flowers on their fingernails as a treat for them while we moms had some extra time in the pedicure chair.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Although it’s a tiny shop the atmosphere was friendly and everyone in there seemed to be regulars.

I got beautiful “jelly” finish UV gel polish done by Jennifer. She’s kind and efficient.

We will be making this a regular feature whenever my best friend’s in town, and probably a couple other times per year.

Thanks to the contributions for the other salons, I will check them out next time.
