| Have any clubs started to explain to parents how they plan to manage the transition to new age groups for 2026-27? My kid is at club that typically doesn’t hold tryouts for current players. Trying to wrap my head around what next year is going to look like. And yes, I realize this is a ridiculous thing to be thinking about before 2025-26 has even started. |
| Some clubs may simply advertise the new SY age groupings for the tryouts in the spring. Kids can either tryout for the new SY age groupings or possibly (only for current Aug-Dec b-day kids) try to stay with their current teams and play a SY up. But that would only work if they are good enough and would have space…. Because kids a year older could be aligned to the new SY team. |
