Best Restaurant in Edgartown, MA (Martha’s Vineyard)

DW and I will be there at the end of July, celebrating our anniversary. I’m looking for a nice, expensive, romantic place for dinner one night. What’s the best? I’m considering Alchemy, Detente, Bettini, Terrace at Charlotte Inn. Other suggestions welcome. Thanks!

We have a home in Edgartown. No to The Atlantic. It’s very pretty and sits right on the harbor, but the food can be inconsistent and it lacks the cozier ambience of other establishments. Go there for lunch.

My favorite is Atria on the patio (book for patio on Resy). https://www.atriamv.com/

I also like Alchemy, but they only have a few outside seats and it overlooks the busy sidewalk. It’s nice but doesn’t have the charm of Atria or the Charlotte Inn.

I have never been to Dente. Bettini is fine but not romantic and their food is good but not great.

Alchemy is great but ambiance isn’t amazing due to basically eating on the Main Street. Check out etoile (if it’s still there) - haven’t been to the vineyard in a few years.

I enjoyed Detente, great ambiance and food. We dined in the courtyard.
