Texas under Abbott has done poorly on disaster response. The winter cold snap, for example. Or Uvalde. The state's response has historically been fragmented, disorganized, with poor interagency communication and coordination,, and in typical Republican fashion underfunded, political and full of deflection and pointing of fingers at others rather than just helping people.

Abbott did a goof job of sending illegals to New York and Massachusetts so they could see the problem.

He also exposed Biden and the Democrats by putting up border fencing and everyone saw the Democrats tear it down.

Good grief, OP. You have a very immature understanding of news as it relates to politics.

The statement Trump made was in regard to having governors, like Abbott, lead disaster response and having the federal government send the funds that have been used by FEMA directly to the states. Since FEMA is still in place (totally revamping the way funding will happen WRT FEMA will take time), FEMA is currently the responding agency.

If you didn't know all this, you are seriously uninformed. If you DID know this, and yet still created this dumb thread, you are pretty much a troll.

It was a goof job and cost the state of Texas millions of dollars. $1 million would have covered the cost of a flood warning system for Kerr County.

I’d have to agree with Trump here (!). Abbott is not fit to govern Texas.

And remember this comes after Harvey and the massive winter power outage that killed many more.
