Hairdryers!

Bestow your wisdom, DCUM. What’s the best hairdryer for your money out there right now?? FWIW my hair is very thick

I’ve bought a couple higher end professional grade hair dryers the last few years, only replacing them when they die. I wish I had just bought a Dyson.

I splurged on the Dyson (and feel like an idiot for spending so much). But it does dry my hair crazy fast on lower heat and seems to do less damage. I like the brush attachments for simple styling and the anti-frizz thing is super odd, but seems to actually work on my frizzy hair.

I do not recommend the curling attachments though. They seem neat, but the curl falls out really fast, whereas a curl holds in my hair for days when I use a curling iron. I don't use a spray.

I bought my wife a Shark diffuser type hairdryer. She was thick curly hair, and she says it’s a total game changer.

My first Dyson lasted 7.5 years. It finally died after a ton of use and I bought another one.

OP here - is the Dyson really $400?? https://www.dyson.com/hair-care/hair-dryers/supersonic/origin-nickel-copper

I’ve been using a Revlon and it’s still alive (just now starting to fade) and it’s been 10 years of near daily use.

I just buy the current plain Con Air model. I think I’m on my third in 25 years. The current version is this, but my previous two were extremely similar.

From my own, personal experience this is actually true.

Revlon, Conair, etc.

Try a Twin Turbo. Makes the cheap ones feel like they must be on their last legs and take forever to dry.

I bought and returned the Dyson, also didn't feel like it had enough power for me.

Babyliss has most power and speed. Even compared to Dyson.
