Bestow your wisdom, DCUM. What’s the best hairdryer for your money out there right now?? FWIW my hair is very thick |
I’ve bought a couple higher end professional grade hair dryers the last few years, only replacing them when they die. I wish I had just bought a Dyson. |
revlon |
I splurged on the Dyson (and feel like an idiot for spending so much). But it does dry my hair crazy fast on lower heat and seems to do less damage. I like the brush attachments for simple styling and the anti-frizz thing is super odd, but seems to actually work on my frizzy hair.
I do not recommend the curling attachments though. They seem neat, but the curl falls out really fast, whereas a curl holds in my hair for days when I use a curling iron. I don't use a spray. |
I bought my wife a Shark diffuser type hairdryer. She was thick curly hair, and she says it’s a total game changer. |
My first Dyson lasted 7.5 years. It finally died after a ton of use and I bought another one. |
OP here - is the Dyson really $400?? https://www.dyson.com/hair-care/hair-dryers/supersonic/origin-nickel-copper
I’ve been using a Revlon and it’s still alive (just now starting to fade) and it’s been 10 years of near daily use. |
Dyson. Worth every penny. |
Professional Dyson. Off the rack is crap. |
My DH bought me a Dyson for my birthday and I LOVE it!! |
I just buy the current plain Con Air model. I think I’m on my third in 25 years. The current version is this, but my previous two were extremely similar. https://a.co/d/3DhXKGA |
Cheap ones work well |
+ 1 From my own, personal experience this is actually true. Revlon, Conair, etc. |
Try a Twin Turbo. Makes the cheap ones feel like they must be on their last legs and take forever to dry. I bought and returned the Dyson, also didn't feel like it had enough power for me. |
Babyliss has most power and speed. Even compared to Dyson. |
